Listen; hearing aids for people with multiple disabilities

The film shows how hearing aids can benefit people with multiple disabilities. Its is not a simple question of buying and fitting a hearing aid: A multidisciplinary approach is required to ensure success.

The film describes the step by step process, illustrated by 9 clients from Bartiméus with highly varying intellectual abilities. They also have a visual handicap.

The process includes the following steps: 1-The hearing test, 2-Client counselling, 3-The decision for hearing aids, 4-Formulating treatment goals, 5-Selecting the hearing aids, 6-Agreeing a habituation process and 7-Checkups and evalions.

Target audience: Sales representatives, support givers and professionals who want to know more about hearing aids for people with multiple disabilities.
